We are excited to offer art enrichment for kids who may not be experiencing art in their daily school activities. Our program is a great supplement to current studies as well as home schooled students. We understand how creative expression is important to provide further benefit to students who are visual and hands-on learners.
Children ages 8-12 will get introduced to many different mediums with fun themes and spend their days learning and exploring a variety of art methods and materials such as:
Class is held every Wednesday 4-6pm. Instructor led in a relaxed environment with basic supplies included.
*Each class session is 2 hours long, where the first hour we make a group project all together, then each student is encouraged to design and create their own project OR explore an area they wish to try during the second hour. Students who return each week may work on the same project until they feel it is finished or make a different project each session.*
School projects may also be worked on during this time with assistance from the instructor.
Students learn how to draw their favorite characters and practice the basic techniques and fundamentals of drawing in the process! We use pencil, colored pencil, marker, charcoal, and watercolor pencils regularly.
Students learn the basic concepts of acrylic painting on canvas as well as other materials. Color mixing, brushstroke and watercolor techniques are also covered.
Whether your child loves polymer clay, air dry clay, or kiln-baked clay, we cover all types during our sessions. Students learn skills in how to use a variety of different clay mediums as well as other materials to make unique sculptures, masks, and 3D artwork.
Students are encouraged to bring in any assignments for school projects for assistance. This includes Art, Science, and other subject assignments for visual project completion.
